TTi is delighted to announce the hiring of former professional soccer player, Jaclyn Poucel as Recruitment & Special Events Manager.
Jaclyn is originally from Lancaster, PA where she grew up playing for youth club, Hershey as a center forward and defender. She went on to play collegiately at the University of Pittsburgh where she excelled in the Atlantic Coast Conference as a central defender. At Pitt, she started and played in every game, except for injury, and was voted a captain her senior year. Her time at Pitt allowed her to be a part of several community volunteer endeavors, and created opportunity for her to become the Women’s Soccer ambassador for the Panther Leadership Conference and for SAAC (Student Athletic Advisory Committee).
After graduating in 2015, with a B.A. in history and literature, she moved to Boston, MA to play for the NWSL side, Boston Breakers. After a short stint at Boston, she signed with a top division Finnish club, NiceFutis, where she began to build her professional playing resume. Throughout her professional career, she went on to play for club IA Akranes in Iceland’s Premier Division, and lastly finished her career at Scottish Premier League powerhouse, Celtic FC.
After her retirement in July 2017, Jaclyn continued to pursue a career in soccer at MLS club, the Philadelphia Union. At the Union, she started as a marketing intern, moved on to Operations Coordinator for the academy, and then ended her time there as the Executive Assistant to the Chief Business Officer. She joins us with many years of playing, youth coaching, and leadership experience.
Jaclyn is eager to be involved in the TTi community and share her knowledge of collegiate and professional soccer, along with her specific passion for guiding young female athletes towards their highest physical and mental goals.
"We are delighted to sign a coach and manager with MLS experience to the staff. In addition to that the fact Jaclyn has been a top professional, it is great for the TTi players to see and interact directly with. As well as managing the recruitment and events Jaclyn will be a indispensable member of the coaching staff - we are very excited to have her" Said TTi Sporting Director Lee Cullip.
Jaclyn will join the TTi Staff Mid August.
