TTi Soccer's First College Showcase Great Success

TTI Soccer hosted its first ID showcase this weekend at our South Campus, The Presbyterian Outdoor Education Campus. The showcase took place on Saturday from 9am and concluded at 3pm.

In attendance was University of Houston Head Coach Diego Bocanegra and Misty Jones, Head Coach at Houston Baptist University.

The players in attendance both TTI Members and non-members, were welcomed by a college level technical session led by Coach Bocanegra in the morning followed by a small sided match watched by the coaches.

The showcase attendees then had the opportunity to listen and ask questions of the D1 coaches in attendance during the lunch interval.

Coach Jones wrapped up the days proceedings the with HBU style session in the afternoon with one final play period for the coaches to evaluate the players.

“I am over the moon with how the showcase went!” Explains TTI GM Matt Evans. “The girls did a fantastic job of showing what they could do in this controlled and intimate setting”. “Both Diego and Misty were fantastic both on and off the field”.

Ileana Moschos added “I thought TTi provided a unique and essential opportunity for players to further develop in an competitive environment where through the training program are able to have an active role in their development and improve overall. The TTI Staff will be announcing its second showcase, tentatively scheduled for the spring” Moschos said.

“We are looking to build on this first success and create an even better showcase for our members, and visitors!” Evans concluded.
