State ODP Reflections from San Marcos, TX

TTi Staff Members, Lee Cullip and Ed Shone are now well along with their roles within South Texas ODP working with the Program this past weekend in San Marcos, TX.

Cullip, who has previously coached within ODP Programs has taken the role of Head Coach or the 2005 Girls team. Cullip reflected on the weekend “The group were outstanding this past weekend in San Marcos” Cullip commented “the play was definitive in style and wonderful to see the group solve problems in a positive way. Many pass strings past 5 possess, which is great” Cullip concluded.

TTi Players were well represented at the ODP Event representing across both genders and several age groups. “It is great to see our players out at ODP representing both their clubs and TTi Soccer” Said Cullip.

TTi’s Chief Sports Scientist Ed Shone has continued to develop his role with ODP overseeing the science piece. Shone said “The players are really excited about getting real time data from their sessions - of course we believe this tangible data is so vital to developing young players”. In addition Shone has begun to work with the ODP Staff regarding session preparation and post training routines.

Gareth Glick, South Texas Director of Player Development had the following to say of the group “The 2005 ODP girls met this weekend at San Marcos and continued to show improvement in their understanding of the ODP patterns of play under the guidance of TTi’s Lee Cullip and his assistant Rafael Reyna. We are excited to see their continued growth throughout this year” Glick finished.

The next event is December 7th & 8th in Dallas, Texas.

STX ODP seeks to identify elite players from all over the state with the intention of developing those players with supplemental training in a competitive environment while exposing them to opportunities for success at higher levels of competition.
