Back to School - G.A.M.E.

August 20th 2019

Summer is officially over now and we are back in the classrooms and school hallways. Homework and quizzes, projects and papers, they can all seem a bit daunting. Don’t worry, we’ve got a few tips to help you.

G.A.M.E.

G: Goal setting. Set goals for yourself. Academic and extracurricular goal setting can help you stay focused and strategic about your approach to school.

A: Action. Whatever you set out to do, do it. Take action and take steps towards your goals. Good grades are the end result of a process. Take the time to prepare for your projects or to study for a test.

M: Measure. Track your progress. Keep yourself focused on your goals by measuring your results and your process. Just as players keep track of their stats on the field, students need to keep track of their performances in the classroom.

E: Evaluate. Did your plan of action work? Did your study methods work? What are your strengths? What areas of school can you improve? This is where you reflect on the big picture of your school year. Think of this as a half-time talk with yourself, teacher, parent, or peers. After looking back on how you have done up to this point, you can stick to your original game plan or change up your tactics.

We hope you do just as well in school as you do in our training sessions. Get your homework done, pass your tests, and get on the field with us. We look forward to hearing about the start of your school year!
