Bluebonnet Jen LaPonte Trains with NWSL Team Sky Blue FC

Former Bluebonnet Jen LaPonte has travelled to trial with NWSL side Sky Blue FC.

“We are so pleased to see Jen continue to persevere with her career” said Sporting Director Lee Cullip “she was a key player in terms of ability and professional attitude off the field in 2019” said Cullip refereeing to the full backs Conference title with the Bluebonnets.

The pacey and crafty full back has represented the United States National Teams U14-U23 and trained with the Seattle Reign, Portland Thorns and played matches for the Houston Dash.

“I think my time with the Bluebonnets really helped prepare me to bounce back into the NWSL. I am proud to be a Bluebonnet and I couldn’t have been here without the help of the staff and group in 2019” said LaPonte.
