THANK YOU!

THANK YOU

In short, I personally had a terrifying accident after training. I am fortunate and lucky to be alive.

I also think that people should know what sort of incredible people and players we have at the Bluebonnets. This was my thank you in response to the amount of people that offered to lend a hand.

________

I just wanted to follow up with everyone with my family and I’s extreme gratitude. I was tentative to say anything at all regarding my accident (idiocy), but I am glad I did.

I have been so very much overwhelmed and totally humbled with people not just checking in on my family and I but offering to help too.

When I set out on this journey from ‘training center’ to ‘club’ I wanted to make sure that the core values were apparent in all the kids and families. I wanted a place to not just be a transactional graveyard or stop along the way, but and Academy that took the ride along the route with the players during their time with us and into college and beyond. The response has shown me that truly sport transcends so much and can permeate our lives on such a deep level. This has been proven to awe-inspiring show of selflessness. Thank you for that.

I want to say thank you to the staff whose reaction was to double down and make the night work for the players was inspirational to me.

And to the players; how proud I am of you all. Selflessness is a sometimes learned tool, not always intrinsic. You continue to amaze me.

I wanted to say a thank you to everyone. It has meant more than I can tell you.

I’ll be back on the pitch next week, Much love and gratitude,

Lee
